The writing is good with a chatty teen narrator. As you might imagine the zombie apocalypse kind of ducks, but she is making the best of it. She and her dad are heading to Canada, but have a ways to go yet. We get to hear about her life past and present as they kill zombies and vamps.

As I mentioned the writing is technically good and the narrator's character is well established. I could wish the author had a faster start to the story. But for those who like teen books and zombies, this book may be for you.

Well written book about zombies, vampires and survival. Hard to put the book down once you get started with all the adventures the characters endure. I can't wait for the next book to come out as I'm sure it'll be another nail biter!
Well written story of the Zombie apocalypse from a teenage girls point of view. A slightly different take on this decades old genre. I look forward to the other books in what I believe is to be a trilogy.
I have an interest in stories of the end of the world. This author has given medical science the responsibility of almost destroying the human race. There were no huge acts of nature, no giant asteroids. Only the desire to find a cure for terminal diseases. Then the fight of remaining humans to stay alive.
Although I am not into the vampire and zombie genre much, I thought I would give this story a try after reading about it on the author's blog. I enjoyed it a lot and it kept me interested. It has a little bit of everything including vampires, zombies, blood and gore, romance, and treachery. It looks like the possibility of at least another book to continue the story. A good first effort from this new author.
A fun-filled campy story about Bridget and her father surviving in a world where people have turned into vampires and zombies. Good action, gore, suspense, and vivid imagery. A good book for young readers which will leave them pining for what's to come in the next part of the series. Great read!
I really enjoyed this book. I really like the vampires and zombie genres, and this book was really what I expected. I love the fact that the main character is a bad ass and a chic for that matter. The dialogue flowed really well in the book and also the transitions were good too. I do like that there really weren't chapters in it. It made it feel more like a story than a book with a stopping point. I do like how the two different creatures turn the tides towards the end of the book. I thought it was definitely interesting and that would be a thought in everyone's mind (If one doesn't know what I mean, then read the book and find out!) I noticed that the ending was very open and I can not wait for the next one to come out. Keep up the good work and I'll be waiting for the next adventure!!!
A creative story from a talented writer about our world being turned upside down with zombies and vampires due to a failed drug. Following the main character, Bridget, on the road to a safe place to survive, you will come to relate with her struggles and emotions. I highly recommend adding this book to your list and I doubt you will be disappointed.
